Mentor Responsibilities and Code of Conduct


As a Disruption Factory Mentor, you play a crucial role in shaping the future of innovation by nurturing and guiding aspiring professionals in their journey towards acquiring disruptive skills and mindset. It is essential that you uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and responsibility to maintain the quality and reputation of Disruption Factory's certification programs. This article outlines the key responsibilities and code of conduct for Disruption Factory Mentors.

Mentor Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and enhance your expertise: Continuously develop your knowledge and skills in your area of expertise to ensure that you provide up-to-date guidance and support to candidates. Attend the Annual Train the Trainers (TTT) event to stay informed about the latest developments in your field.

  2. Endorse candidates ethically: Only endorse candidates who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the disruptive mindset and the competencies required for their desired certification. Maintain the minimum endorsement and pass rate requirements for your tier.

  3. Provide high-quality guidance: Offer meaningful support and direction to candidates, helping them overcome challenges and develop the skills necessary to pass their certification exams. Be available for consultations, feedback, and mentoring.

  4. Contribute to the Disruption Factory community: Engage with the community by participating in events, sharing insights, and collaborating with fellow mentors to foster a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

  5. Uphold confidentiality and privacy: Respect the privacy of your mentees and maintain confidentiality regarding their personal information, progress, and exam results.

Code of Conduct

As a Disruption Factory Mentor, you must adhere to the following code of conduct:

  1. Act with integrity and professionalism: Be honest, fair, and respectful in all your interactions with candidates, fellow mentors, and Disruption Factory staff. Avoid conflicts of interest and uphold the highest ethical standards.

  2. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment: Treat all candidates respectfully, regardless of their background, experience, or beliefs. Encourage open communication, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

  3. Respect intellectual property: Acknowledge the source of any materials, ideas, or information you use in your mentoring practice. Please don't engage in plagiarism or share copyrighted materials without permission.

  4. Maintain transparency and accountability: Be open and honest about your qualifications, experience, and the services you provide. Take responsibility for your actions and decisions, and strive for continuous improvement.

  5. Comply with Disruption Factory policies and guidelines: Familiarize yourself with the rules and procedures outlined by Disruption Factory, and make sure that you follow them in all aspects of your mentoring practice.
