How to Become a Disruption Factory Mentor
Disruption Factory mentors play a crucial role in guiding and supporting professionals in their journey towards obtaining Disruption Factory certifications. As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise, contribute to the growth of the Disruption Factory community, and make a meaningful impact on the careers of aspiring disruptive professionals. In this article, we outline the steps to become a Disruption Factory mentor.
Requirements
To become a Disruption Factory Mentor, you must meet the following requirements:
Obtain the relevant certification: To become a mentor for a specific certification, you must hold that certification yourself and have achieved a passing score of 90% on the exam. For example, if you wish to mentor for the DAF, you need to have the DAF certification with a score of 90% or higher.
Submit the Mentor application: Complete the online application form, which will be provided to you by Disruption Factory. In your application, include your background, motivation for becoming a mentor, and how you plan to contribute to the Disruption Factory community.
Application review: After submitting your application, our team will evaluate your information, exam history, and exam score. You will receive a response within 15 days.
Choose your mentor tier: If your application is approved, you can select the tier you want to join. Each tier is defined by the number of annual recommendations available for you to endorse candidates for Disruption Factory exams. This is an annual amount of endorsements for you as a Mentor, and includes all the certifications you're endorsing candidates for:
- Bronze: 10 endorsements
- Silver: 20 endorsements
- Gold: 50 endorsements
- Platinum: 100 endorsements
Pay for your annual mentor license: Based on your chosen tier, pay the annual license fee as follows:
- Bronze: USD 1200.
- Silver: USD 2400.
- Gold: USD 5000.
- Platinum: USD 9000.
Provisional mentoring period: Your first six months as a mentor will be considered a provisional period. During this time, you are expected to endorse at least one-third of your annual tier recommendations and maintain an 80% pass rate for your endorsements.
Ongoing evaluation: After the provisional period, you will become a fully-fledged Disruption Factory mentor if you meet the endorsement requirements. If you do not meet the requirements, a support program will be provided to help you improve over the next six months. If you still do not meet the requirements after this period, your mentor license may be canceled.
